Boston University in conjunction with the University of Technology (RWTH), Aachen, has established a unique graduate engineering degree program in Global Manufacturing that focuses on solving industrial problems in a multicultural environment.This highly selective two year research program prepares students to become international engineers and managers who are trained to operate in the global business environment. The Global Manufacturing Masters Degree curriculum caters to the 21st century engineer by delivering information, systems, and management science skills. The curriculum stresses the importance of information systems and complements classical manufacturing engineering instruction in design, automation, engineered materials, and machine tool design, as well as more recent application areas including microelectronics, manufacturing, optoelectronics, and Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS).
